Simply Books in Bramhall are preparing to open a new Bookshop and Wine Bar in Weir Mill in Stockport this summer.
This new riverside venue will bring books, culture and community together.
Called Prologue, the concept has been created by the team behind Bramhall’s popular Simply Books will offer a new space to bring people together in a welcoming riverside setting. Prologue will offer everything from immersive literary events and book clubs to comedy nights, live music, language classes and writing workshops.
There is also a built-in coffee shop and bar, serving up pastries and coffees for the morning commute, before shifting into wines and cocktails as the day winds down.
It’s another great example of home‑grown independents choosing Stockport town centre as the place to grow.
