Congratulations to GCSE students in Years 9,10 and 11! Most schools celebrate GCSE results for their Year 11 students. At Bramhall we are celebrating GCSE results for three year groups!

It was another year of records for our Year 11 students. The class of 2010 moved to the top of the school’s honours list with an impressive 89% of students achieving 5 or more C grades. 73% achieved 5 passes including English and Mathematics and in total 88% of students gained at least two C grades in Science. Once again, the overall points score rose showing that not only are our students getting more pass grades but that their grades are also getting higher.
Students in Year 10 also received their results for Technology and Modern Foreign Languages. These matched the Year 11 outcomes in both Technology and MfL.
Two students deserve special mention Sally Cain and Olivia Brooks. Sally achieved an A* in French with the highest exam score for all students in Year 10 AND Year 11. She repeated this remarkable feat in her Technology (Graphics) exam! Sally’s achievement was matched by Olivia Brookes. Her A* in German was achieved with the highest exam score for all students in Year 10 AND Year 11. The same was true of Olivia’s score in Technology (Food).
The Year 9 students were not to be outdone! They gained record passes in Citizenship (65%) and ICT (95%).
