The latest roadworks in Stockport are as follows:
23rd May to 11th June: A6 Buxton Road at the junction with Poplar Grove, Stepping Hill road closure, from 9.00pm to 5.00am due to carriageway resurfacing.

31st May to 14th June: St Marys Way between Shawcross Street to Upper Brook Street a one way system will be in place, between 9.00pm to 5.00am due to carriageway resurfacing.

2nd to 16th June: Dooley Lane in Marple between Stockport Road and Bongs Lane road closure, between 9.00pm and 5.00am due to carriageway resurfacing.

12th June: Three way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on Marple Road in Offerton between Foggbrook Close and The Spice Tower Restaurant. The signals will be in place between 8.00am and 5.00pm on to allow carriageway resurfacing work to be carried out.

24th June: The Highways Agency is scheduled to commence works to the motorway bridge that carries the M60 over the River Mersey between junctions 1 and 2 close to Stockport.
The works will be weekend only between 2200hrs on a Friday night and 0500hrs on a Monday morning and will be over 4 weekends. The Highways Agency will start work on the clockwise carriageway and this will result in two lanes being closed but leaving 2 lanes open for traffic. There will be a 50mph speed limit through the works which will be on continuously from start at 2200hrs Friday until finish at 0500hrs (or earlier) on the Monday morning.
Please note that this work is weather dependant and if rain is forecast at the critical time that works will reach a certain point then the works will not take place at all on that weekend. This means that although the works are scheduled over 4 weekends although they may not be consecutive.
