Manchester Virtual Walk – Support St Ann’s Hospice
By Editor Girl on May 12, 2020
Every year one of the major fund raising events for St Ann’s Hospice is the Manchester Midnight Walk. This year this flag ship event is back but with a virtual twist.
Every year, more than a thousand people take on the famed Manchester Midnight Walk around the city centre, but in these unprecedented times, the Hospice are asking you to complete this year’s walk with a difference!
They need vital funds to support their patients now more than ever, so you’re being challenged to either walk 5k in one day or 10k in any week of June. You can do this in your garden, in your house, or as part of your daily exercise – how you do it is up to you, as long as you keep safe!
There’s no age limit and whether you walk, run, skip or even jump it, you and your family can get involved.
Send the Hospice video clips of you completing your challenge if you can. They would love to see it!
Help fill the honey pot with lots of money to support local patients
- Sponsored walk/run/skip/jump
- Fancy dress optional
- T-shirt and medal included
Once you’ve registered, you will be sent a pack which includes a sponsorship form, plus hints and tips on how you can raise money for St Ann’s.
We hope that our amazing supporters will ‘bee’ able to take part in our new event. If you’ve already got a place in our Midnight Walk, we will automatically transfer your place to this virtual activity, unless we hear from you. Likewise, if participants who requested a refund when the original Manchester Midnight Walk event was postponed due to Covid-19 want to get involved, then simply get in touch with our events team.

Your £5 will pay for the shipping of both your Manchester Virtual Walk t-shirt, which will be posted immediately and your medal, which will be posted upon completion of the event.
